Barclays donation to the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics [2009-11-20]
Barclays Global Retail Bank and Vilnius University signed a
donation agreement on 19 November 2009. Barclays GRB has donated
teaching materials as well as brand new computers to update two
computer labs at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of
Vilnius University. Barclays representative Peter Josse gave a
talk to the students of the faculty about the IT and Engineering
platform at Barclays as well as the opportunities for graduates
to seek employment at the Barclays Technology Center in Vilnius.
On 8 October, Barclays and Vilnius University signed a
partnership agreement following Barclays decision to open a
technology center in Vilnius where they will employ at least 250
IT specialists.
