The one hundredth anniversary of the Nobel Prize winner, alumnus of Vilnius University Czeslaw Milosz (1911-2004) provides an important opportunity to reflect on the influence that this writer and intellectual as well as his creative work bear on the modern consciousness.

Joint Laboratory to be established in Vilnius University [2011-05-18]
On May 18 Prof. B. Juodka, the Rector of Vilnius University , Mr. Ye Yong, Country manager for the Baltic of „Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd“ and Antanas Zabulis, President of „Omnitel“, have signed an agreement concerning the establishment of joint research laboratory at Vilnius University. The laboratory should start its work in autumn.
