On May 18 at 15.00 the celebratory ceremony of the University Senate will take place at the University Church of St. Johns'. This ceremony is convened to award degrees of doctor honoris causa to professor IMRE KÁTAI (Budapest Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary) and to professor ANDRES METSPALU (Tartu University, Estonia).

An exhibition in the Rectors Office [2010-05-03]
On May 4-June 1 an exhibition "History of the Residence of the Netherlands Ambassador in Vilnius" will be open at the Rector's Office on the first floor of the Central Building of Vilnius University.This residence is situated in the former Botanical Garden of Vilnius University in Sereikiškės park.

Reign of Theatre at Vilnius University [2010-04-16]
The Theatre of Vilnius University is celebrating 440 th anniversary this year. The first student performance - „Hercules“ by S.Tucci - was staged in 1570. The events of the anniversary week „ Alma Mater theatralis“ will take place from April 19 to 24 at Vilnius University.
