In September Prof. Alvydas Juocevičius , Head of the Department of Rehabilitation, Physical and sport medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University, was elected the Vice-president of The European Board of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.

Mr. Michel Hivert, the director of the executive agency of the Office of the Chief Scientist also known as "MATIMOP" visited Vilnius University on Wednesday. He was accompanied by Ms. Jolanta Pelle, representative of the Embassy of Israel, Mr. Arunas Karlonas, the director of the Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology and Mr. Ricardas Valanciauskas, a senior specialist. The guests were hosted by Prof. Juras Banys, the acting rector of Vilnius University.
