How did Gorbachev win a Nobel peace prize? Is 200 km of tarmac all that separates Vilnius and Minsk? What do oranges, roses and jeans have in common? What does “prihvatizatsya” mean? Does “Pussy Riot” really belong in jail?

The Eastern European and Russian studies programme is devised to help you find the answers to these and many more other questions. And on top of that it will provide you with deep and comprehensive knowledge about the region - its political, economic and cultural particularities, and develop your academic and analytical skills that will enable you to analyse, evaluate and assess key political and social processes within this dynamic and exciting region.
