Financial support for international students

Scholarships and yearly study fee funding for students from Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan

Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuanian has announced the available funding for full-time second-cycle students from Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

3 students from Ukraine and 3 students from Belarus can be granted a monthly scholarship and receive a funding for yearly study fee at Vilnius University.

3 students from Azerbaijan and 3 students from Kazakhstan can be granted a monthly scholarship.

State Scholarships

State scholarships under international agreements and bilateral exchange programmes are designed for students, lecturers and researchers of higher education and research institutions to enable them to study or carry out research at state higher education and research institutions of the Republic of Lithuania. Students and researchers from different fields of studies or research are welcome to apply for Lithuanian state scholarships.

Grant which covers one semester tuition fee

Vilnius University offers 5 grants for full time non EU/EEA students which covers one semester tuition fee it they meet following requirements:

  • They must be citizens of a non EU/EEA country.
  • They must not be supported by any other scholarship or funds.
  • They must spent at least one or two semesters in one of Bachelor or Master degree programmes taught in English and Russian offered at Vilnius University.
  • By May 15th or January 20th they must submit to the grant request letter in which they have indicate why they believe they should be considered for this grant.

Eligible students are selected for a grant which covers one semester tuition fee on the basis of their academic achievements.
