The journal "Ekonomika" publishes original research, theoretical articles and methodological issues of economics. Major attention is given to publications, assessing and analyzing the current economy, sectoral situation and development of business strategies for local and foreign markets, which contributes directly to Central and Eastern European economic development. In addition, the journal publishes studies which are devoted to the practical regional economic issues relating to integration into the European Union. Ekonomika additionally reviews new books and research projects. The journal is published quarterly.
The journal “Economics” (founded and published by Vilnius University) is abstracted and indexed in the IBSS (International Bibliography of the Social Sciences) database and included into the list of Lithuanian serials that meet the requirements for scientific publications (Lithuanian Science Council, 19 December 2005, decision No. VI–39). The journal is also included in the Google Scholar database, EBSCO, Econlit, and is under review for acceptance in the following databases: IndexCopernicus, Gale, ProQuest, and DOAJ.Economics is included in EBSCO (Central & Eastern European Academic Source) and IBSS (International Bibliography of the Social Sciences) databases.
Economics magazine published in cooperation with Wroclaw University of Economics (Poland) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev (Ukraine).
Papers are reviewed by at least two reviewers.
