VU Rector Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas Elected Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences

Vilnius University (VU) Rector Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas has been elected a Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.

The VU Rector was elected a Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences by the General Assembly of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, which convened in June.

The Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences is a scientific institution that continues the traditions of the Academy of Arts and Sciences, established in the 19th century. It brings together researchers from various fields and carries out scientific and cultural activities. Foreign Members of the Academy are scholars from other countries recognised for their significant contributions to their respective fields of research.
