UAE Ambassador to Lithuania Visited Vilnius University

On 5 November, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Lithuania, Noora Mohammed Abdulhamid Juma, visited Vilnius University (VU). The visit focused on cooperation in the fields of research and studies.

‘This was the UAE Ambassador’s first visit to Vilnius University, during which we discussed cooperation and opportunities for academic partnerships, as well as explored directions for new research projects and study opportunities,’ said VU Rector Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas.

The UAE Ambassador to Lithuania met with VU Rector Prof. Petrauskas, VU Pro-Rector for Partnerships Dr Artūras Vasiliauskas, as well as the representatives of the Institute of Asian and Transcultural Studies. She also visited the VU Life Sciences Center (GMC), where she met with Prof. Eglė Lastauskienė, Director of the Institute of Biosciences at VU GMC, and other representatives.

The UAE Ambassador to Lithuania was given a guided tour of VU GMC laboratories, the VU Library, and the Old Astronomical Observatory.
