VU Kinetic Theatre Performance 'Hommo in Maxima'

29 March | 19:00 | VU Theatre Hall

VU Kinetic Theatre presents an experimental performance exploring the transformation of four fundamental value categories following Lithuania’s accession to the European Union. How have the notions of love, human connection, security, and meaning shifted in the context of a new generation?

Has love evolved into a fragmented party experience? From attachment to dependency on commercial brands, from security rooted in the confrontation between the familiar and the foreign—meaning is now buried under the guise of artificial intelligence and human redundancy. Deus ex machina is dead, giving rise to homo ex machina, an entity that transforms into an emotionally complete user manual. Values are being replaced by a written "life" code—an administrative guide compressed into an Excel spreadsheet, trapped within the grip of mandatory productivity. A being that meets criteria rather than creates spontaneously, constrained by a new critique of sincerity, ultimately mutates into homo in Maxima.

The performance will take place on 29 March, at 19:00, in the VU Theatre Hall (Universiteto g. 3). The first 40 tickets are available for EUR 4.46. Tickets are sold via Kakava.lt.
