Registration for the Scientific Sprint Is Now Open

The science communication competition “Scientific Sprint” returns for its fifth edition, inviting registrations from teams ready to present captivating research or inspiring science ideas in just three minutes.

The competition will take place on March 31 at 18:00 at Aludariai Story Cellar, as part of the 447th anniversary celebrations of Vilnius University.

As in previous years, generous cash prizes established by the competition’s sponsors await the top-performing teams. In addition, participating teams will have the opportunity to take part in a dedicated science communication training session.

Teams consisting of a lecturer and a student are invited to present a scientific research project or a compelling scientific idea. Presentations must not exceed three minutes.

Students of any study level together with lecturers or researchers are welcome to form teams. Once you have secured your team member’s agreement, please register your team by March 4.

Presentations will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of representatives from academia and the media. The jury will assess the relevance of the research or idea, scientific accuracy, clarity of presentation, and the ability to communicate science in an engaging and entertaining way. Presentations may be delivered in Lithuanian or English.
