Arqus Alliance Opens Second Call for Joint Master’s in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence

The Arqus European University Alliance has officially launched the second application call for the 2026–2028 cohort of the Joint Master’s Programme in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence (MICAC), a two-year international degree delivered collaboratively by four leading European universities. The programme is designed for students seeking advanced, practice-oriented training in cybersecurity within a genuinely European academic setting. It is jointly offered by the University of Padua, Vilnius University, the University of Granada and the University of Minho, and is taught entirely in English.

A defining element of MICAC is its compulsory international mobility component, through which students study at different partner institutions over the course of two academic years while pursuing a single joint degree. This structure enables participants to gain diverse academic perspectives and experience multiple higher education environments across Europe.

The second call for applications will close on 6 May 2026 and is open exclusively to applicants who are nationals of EU or EEA countries, as well as to those whose nationality does not require a visa to enter the Schengen area. Consequently, candidates who require a visa to enter the Schengen area are not eligible to apply in this round. This restriction reflects the specific timeline of the second call and the practical considerations related to admission, enrolment and the programme’s mobility requirements.

An application fee applies, amounting to €30 for EU applicants and €100 for non-EU applicants. These fees are non-refundable, and the programme does not currently provide application or tuition fee waivers.

All students admitted to MICAC may apply for Erasmus+ mobility funding, which supports living expenses during the mandatory mobility periods for up to a total of 12 months over the duration of the programme.
