Arqus Students Invited to Join a New Micro-Credential on Living Labs, Heritage and Society

Arqus students are invited to apply for a new micro-credential, Living Labs, Heritage and Society. The programme is part of the Arqus offer of flexible, short-cycle learning opportunities and aims to help students develop transversal skills for academic, professional and personal growth.
Developed within the Arqus Alliance, the micro-credential is coordinated by the University of Minho and delivered with the participation of the University of Granada. It responds to the need to train students in innovative and participatory approaches to cultural heritage from an immersive perspective.
The micro-credential is based on the Living Lab concept and addresses the growing demand for collaborative methodologies that integrate local communities into the construction of heritage knowledge. These communities play an important role as custodians of the heritage with which they maintain identity-based ties.
The programme is primarily intended for postgraduate students, particularly master’s students, in the fields of Humanities, Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage, Archaeology, Architecture, Anthropology, Geography and related areas, who are studying at one of the universities within the Arqus Alliance.
Registration is open until 9 June. Module 1 will take place in a blended format from 22 to 29 June 2026, while Module 2 will be held online from 1 to 23 July 2026.
Students interested in taking part in the micro-credential are invited to register here.
