How to prepare a successful Curricula Vitae (CV) to apply for job and internship offers in these Arqus countries? What are the special characteristics of the above local labour markets? The Alliance has just published a series of short videos in English that introduce key content about how to prepare a good CV and a cover letter in some of the Arqus Universities’ countries. The videos also provide students and graduates with relevant tips and other resources to foster their employability opportunities.

The 6 short videos (lasting less than 10 minutes each) have been produced by Arqus professional career experts and can be accessed through the Arqus YouTube channel. The video prepared by members of Leipzig University presents 10 useful tips to ensure the success of a CV in Germany. In Italy, Sara Raponi, from the University of Padua, explains step by step how to create an attractive CV to get job opportunities in this country. Sigita Kilkutė, from Vilnius University, shares tips on job hunting in Lithuania and how to attract employers. From the University of Wroclaw, Ewelina Kośmider and Dominika Buczkowska talk about the advantages of working in Poland and explain “how to make sure your CV is successful”. Alicia Martínez Martín, from the University of Granada, explains how to create an outstanding and attractive cover letter and CV for companies and employers in Spain. Finally, in the video dedicated to France, Maeva Sagueton, from the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1, talks about how to successfully apply for jobs and internships in France.

With this initiative, the Arqus Alliance seeks to enhance the professional mobility of students and graduates, not limiting this to the development of study periods abroad, by equipping them with the transversal skills to manage a global career plan. It is part of the Arqus Alliance activities aimed at promoting students’ personal and professional development supported by former Arqus Action Line 5 “Entrepreneurial University and Regional Engagement” and whose main goals are now taken up by Work Package 4 “Arqus Student Agora” in the new Arqus II work plan (2022-2026).
