Assoc. Prof. Dr Mariana Sueldo

Department of Organisational Information and Communication Research, Faculty of Communication

At Vilnius University, 'Hinc itur ad astra' ("from here to the stars") is not just a motto – it is my lived experience. As an Argentine-born scholar who pursued further studies, earned my Master’s and PhD, and built a career here, I have seen how this spirit comes alive in a welcoming, intercultural community. Students and lecturers inspire one another, learning and growing together. This openness prepares our graduates to thrive globally with resilience, curiosity, and confidence, carrying VU’s tradition and vision into their future careers.

Aliya Adilbayeva

Student from Kazakhstan at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science

From an early age, I was surrounded by international student communities. However, I must admit that the atmosphere at Vilnius University is where I feel most confident being myself and where I can grow the most. As an international student, I see VU as my stronghold.  The remarkable thing about VU is the setting where diversity is respected, and dialogue is elevated. My course mates always keep inspiring me and making me feel welcomed, and a part of the community.  Being a student here has boosted my confidence enormously in my area of specialisation. I would recommend it to every newcomer without hesitation.

Why Vilnius University?

I chose VU MF because of all the wonderful opportunities this university has to offer. The Integrated program itself is unique in comparison to all others. The professors are wonderful and are available to answer all your questions and concerns. The city of Vilnius is vibrant and welcoming with a growing number of people visiting and touring the area daily. Most importantly it is a safe environment, constantly thriving and booming. Whether you choose to do some studying in the national library during the daytime or just looking to enjoy the nightlife in Vilniaus gatve, all these experiences and more are worth exploring.
