The Arqus International Forum on Romance Studies is Holding Its First Colloquium

Sukurta: 26 April 2021

Colloquium 3x2The Arqus International Forum on Romance Studies (AIFRS) is holding its first Colloquium on Romance Linguistics.

The Colloquium on Romance Linguistics is a series of online-presentations held by linguists from the Arqus universities. It is a place of scientific exchange on the current trends in Romance linguistics, which enables scholars to present their research to colleagues within the Arqus-Alliance and beyond, and makes this research known in a wider international context. Furthermore, the Colloquium facilitates the academic discussion with international colleagues, supplying scholars with new scientific input and creating the basis for future cooperation.

During the summer term 2021 (April, May and June), the colloquium is hosted by the University of Graz (Prof. Martin Hummel). It usually takes place on Wednesday (18:45 - 20:15) and is open to every interested scholar. The sessions will last approximately 1,5 hours (1 hour of presentation + half an hour of discussion).

The program as well as details on participation, like the links to the videoconferences, are constantly updated here.

The Colloquium is an initiative of the recently launched Arqus International Forum on Romance Studies (AIFRS).

Organizing Committee: Martin Hummel (Graz) and the AIFRS board members David Porcel Bueno (Granada), Katharina Gerhalter (Graz) and Stefan Koch (Graz).
