Webinar on Preventive Career Education

Sukurta: 22 March 2022

The Arqus Task Force Preventive Career Education (from Action Line 2, Widenning access, inclusion and diversity) led by the University of Padua is pleased to launch a one-day online training event aimed at offering an overview of the most recent and accredited theoretical frameworks in the field of career guidance, together with some practical examples and new tools to be applied in the different educational frameworks for the benefit of children and young.

Background

According to the most recent and accredited theoretical frameworks, there is a close connection between career development and positive development of other aspects of human being: this is why it is extremely important to implement career education programs as soon as possible, from early childhood, in order to offer opportunities for all children to envision positive career paths, stimulating their understanding and acquisition of resources crucial for career planning.

The training course is aimed at counsellors, primary school teachers, university students and professors involved in teaching and education activities and to all those who play a relevant role in the process of planning educational and professional futures in an inclusive and sustainable perspective.

The event will be held in English on the zoom platform (participants will receive the zoom link beforehand).

Applications are open until Thursday, 24th March 2022 at 12:00 (CET) here.

At the end of the proposed training Programme, the participants will be able to design and conduct career education activities in primary education able to stimulate understanding and acquisition of resources in the view of career development. They will be able to develop teaching programmes or activities focused on equal opportunities with special reference to an appropriate approach to STEM disciplines and the gender issue, in order to guarantee equal opportunities both to girls, boys and young people with and without disabilities and/or other vulnerabilities.
