Lecture on Japan’s Space Development

Hiroaki Akiyama. Chasqui.uni.edu.peOn Monday, October 3, professor of the Wakayama University and director of institute for Education on Space Hiroaki Akiyama, will give a lecture "Japanese New Space Development Strategy & Future Global Partnership".

The lecture will take place at 3 p. m. in the 212 auditorium of the Faculty of Physics (Saulėtekio al. 9-III).

Prof. Akiyama will introduce the history of Japan's space development and recent space development technologies, referring to the activities of HAYABUSA Asteroid Explorer and KAGUYA Lunar Explorer. He will discuss the problems which Japanese space development has been faced with in recent years.

Prof. Hiroaki Akiyama is an outstanding Japanese space scientist who has been involved in various Japanese National Space Development Projects, such as HAYABUSA asteroid explorer mission and KAGUYA lunar explorer mission, and also is a pioneer in education on space science in Japan.
