Organizations Leading in Life Sciences Meet in Vilnius

Kaspars Filips Dobrovolskis 18Vilnius University together with universities and research institutes from Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovakia and Hungary are forming the alliance in life sciences – “Alliance4Life”. The mission of the alliance members is high-level research, experimental development and joint strategy in the area of life sciences.

“Alliance4Life”members are meeting in Vilnius on the 2- 4th of October. During plenary sessions and focus groups meetings, members from alliance’s institutions will draw guidelines for further collaboration and discuss the vision for the development in the region. The main highlight of the meeting will be the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of the alliance.

Vilnius University together with Masaryk University (Czech Republic), St. Anne's University Hospital (Czech Republic), Biomedical Research Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (Slovakia), The Medical University of Lodz (Poland), University of Zagreb School of Medicine (Croatia), University of Tartu (Estonia), Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Semmelweis University (Hungary) implement the “Horizon 2020“ project “Alliance for Life Sciences: Closing Research and Innovation Divide in the European Union“.
