President J. Biden Will Make a Public Speech at Vilnius University

Social Graphic POTUS Vilnius Lithuania 1080x1080 230712 v2Joe Biden, President of the United Sates will make a public speech at Vilnius University in Vilnius, Lithuania, on Wednesday, July 12, after the conclusion of the NATO Summit.

“I am thrilled and not at all surprised that President Biden would choose to address Lithuanians during this important time, as Vilnius hosts the NATO Summit. Lithuania is a close ally and partner, and the bond between our two countries is stronger than ever. I look forward to taking part in this historic event along with the people of Lithuania,” said U.S. Ambassador Robert S. Gilchrist.

"We are proud that the President chose Vilnius University for his important speech. This emphasizes that the University is not only a place for science, but also for civic gatherings, the most important discussions and events in the country and the world," says VU Rector Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas.

The event will be free and open to the public. Doors open at 16:30, as there are traffic restrictions due to the NATO Summit, the entrance will only be accessible by foot. Entrance will be on a first come, first served basis.

The United States Secret Service will conduct an airport-style security screening on-site. Please review the prohibited items below before arriving:
- Items such as umbrellas, aerosols, animals (other than service guide animals), bicycles, folding chairs, balloons, packages, vapes;
- Firearms, ammunition, stun guns, knives of any kind, mace, fireworks, lighters, any weapons or weapon device and any item that could be determined to be a safety hazard;
- Water, water bottles, any beverages or reusable (glass, metal, thermal) containers;
- Backpacks or large bags, signs and flags;
- Cameras with detachable lenses, tripods, video cameras, selfie sticks, drones;
- Computers and tablets will not be allowed on-site.
