Six new shows for spring semester

Article illustrationVilnius University radio „Start FM“ (VUR “Start FM”) suggests six new radio shows for a spring semester. A wide selection from international shows to live broadcasts from music club “Satta Baras” and easy listening m­orning shows start at 13th March.

13th March 10–11 AM – a morning show for those, who get up late will give listeners special recipes and funny talks from two economic students.

At 3–4 PM the first live international sh­ow “EuroTrip” starts. Business student from Slovakia Jana Kravjarova is going to interview Erasmus students about their countries, culture, music, what they find interesting in Lithuania and other similar things. This show will be the first show broadcasted in English.

“Get in Spanish” is another short show that starts on Friday and will be broadcasted every Friday and Saturday at 10AM, 12PM and 14PM. The aim of the show is to introduce Spanish artist and language to Lithuanians. A journalism student Marta Blánquez Blanco will speak in Spanish and Lithuanian.

14th March – a special Saturday live music show by Mark Splinter „Step Show“ will connect Saulėtekis valley with „Satta Baras“ in city center. From this Sunday (15th March) every week philosophy lovers will be happy to hear live show based on philosophy themes “Įžvalgos” (“Sagacity”). Philosophy student Timoras Saakovas will start the show by talking about the sense of Nietzsche’s Gods death.

The live show “Kosminė odisėja“ (“Space Odyssey”) will start on 25th March at 10PM. It will analyse the electronic music scene.

VUR „Start FM“ is the radio station that works as a self-learning centre. More and more youths come here to realise their radio dreams and to create different sound of Lithuanian radio.
