Vilnius University Condemns Attacks against Israel and Offers Psychological Help to Community Members

In response to the recent events in Israel, Vilnius University (VU) unequivocally condemns the actions of the terrorist group "Hamas" against the residents of Israel and expresses support and condolences to the victims of the attacks, their families and relatives.

"We express our deep condolences for the events of the recent days in Israel. Killing of civilians, terrorist acts cannot have any justification. We stand in solidarity with the University's partners in Israel, our alumni and friends, hoping for the fastest possible conclusion to military action,' says VU Rector Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas.

VU offers psychological help to the members of its intercultural community, which includes Israeli citizens, and encourages anyone facing psychological difficulties to contact special help lines.
