On 3 October, Vilnius University will host an event, "Shaping a Culture of Research Integrity".

Research Integrity is widely known among members of academia and is usually seen as the commitment to comply with ethical principles and professional standards of research implementation by researchers and research institutions.

The most crucial role in the academic world is, however, attributed to Culture, which forms values, expectations, behaviour and, eventually, habits. During the event, key-point will be given to this dimension of Research Integrity. The event will cover various aspects of Research Integrity, including Research Culture, Mental Health, Mentoring and Responsible Publishing.

Speakers are invited lecturers from different universities who devote their daily work to shaping Research Culture and Research Integrity. Other invited speakers will also cover Research Integrity aspects: Prof. Ronny Bruffaerts – professor of Psychiatry in the Medical Faculty of Leuven Catholic University (Belgium); Prof. Eugenijus Gefenas – professor of Medicine Ethics of Medical Faculty of Vilnius University, Dr Ana Ferreras – Senior Program Officer of U.S. National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, and others.
