THE Rankings by Subject are calculated according to 13 thoroughly prepared indicators divided into five categories. The evaluation takes into account teaching, learning environment, the volume of research conducted, income received, and reputation. It also measures the rate of citation of the research produced, the internationality in terms of foreigners working and studying at the institution, and the number of studies carried out in collaboration with foreign scholars. Other evaluation criteria are the quality of the transfer of knowledge and the added value the institution brings to the local economy.
THE World University Rankings is the only evaluator of the outcome of global activities that evaluates research-intensive universities in terms of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and internationality.
