Arqus Community Gathers in Maynooth for the 2026 Annual Conference

The 2026 Arqus Annual Conference is taking place from 7 to 9 July at Maynooth University. This year’s conference, held under the theme “Voices of Impact: Weaving Stories Across Europe”, brings together the Arqus community to reflect on the future of European higher education and the impact of European University alliances.

Through a dynamic mix of plenary sessions, panel discussions and community moments, the conference highlights how the Arqus Alliance continues to create impact across institutions, communities and borders.

This year’s conference places lived experience at its centre. It offers a story led forum where academics, students and representatives from across the Alliance share real examples of the European Universities Initiative in action.

Around 300 participants are taking part in the conference, which creates a space for dialogue, reflection and connection, while strengthening collaboration across the European higher education landscape.
