Arqus offers the “Physical Activity and Chronic Pathologies” programme, which explores the relationship between physical activity and chronic conditions and examines how exercise can contribute to their understanding, prevention and management. Registrations are open until 1 November 2026.

The programme takes an interdisciplinary approach, bringing together expertise from two Arqus universities – Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, which coordinates the programme, and the University of Granada.

Through a series of specialised modules, participants will explore a range of topics, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic diseases, red blood cell diseases, microbiota, and cardiovascular disease associated with chronic kidney disease.

By combining perspectives from different fields, the programme provides a broader understanding of the complex interactions between physical activity, physiological processes and chronic disease. It also offers an opportunity to examine how scientific knowledge from different disciplines can contribute to a more comprehensive view of prevention and disease management.

The programme is intended for those seeking to deepen their knowledge of physical activity and chronic conditions through specialised academic training delivered by experts from both partner universities.
