Arqus Plurilingual Module: Learn Lithuanian and Explore Multilingualism

Exchange students from Arqus universities who are currently studying at Vilnius University are invited to join a 5 ECTS online module that combines beginner-level Lithuanian language learning with an exploration of multilingualism, language-learning strategies and everyday life in Lithuania.

Running from September 2026 to January 2027, the Arqus Plurilingual Module is free of charge and delivered online via Microsoft Teams.

Participants will study Lithuanian at A1 level while becoming more familiar with the social and cultural context in which the language is used. The module also introduces key concepts in linguistics and multilingualism and encourages students to reflect on how languages are learned and used in different cultural environments.

Alongside formal Lithuanian classes, students will have opportunities to practise languages in more informal settings, including Arqus online Language Cafés. These activities complement classroom learning and help participants develop their broader language skills through interaction with other students.

The module combines scheduled online activities with independent learning and reflection, allowing participants to complete different parts of the programme alongside their regular studies.

The Arqus Plurilingual Module is organised by the Arqus Plurilingual and Intercultural Hub. Registration is open until 15 September 2026.
