Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund Receives Over €1 Million in European Funding

The Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund has been awarded more than €1 million in European funding, creating new opportunities for talented postgraduate students to study at Arqus universities and take part in joint programmes across the Alliance.
The project will support 38 students throughout their studies, providing funding equivalent to 82 annual scholarships across 12 programmes in strategically important fields. The scholarships will be available to eligible students residing in EU Member States, EEA countries and Erasmus+ programme countries at the time of application and throughout the scholarship period.
The initiative aims to make international postgraduate study more accessible by covering key costs associated with studying and mobility within the Arqus European University Alliance. Scholarships will be available for the full duration of the programme or study pathway, for up to three years or six semesters.
Funding may cover tuition and administrative fees, accommodation and living costs, mandatory mobility, insurance, study materials and additional support for students with fewer opportunities. Scholarship recipients will also have an opportunity to take part in a networking event at the end of the 2027–28 academic year.
The renewed Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund builds on one of the Alliance’s most sought-after initiatives. By supporting study across Arqus universities and joint programmes, it aims to give talented students greater access to international academic experiences and opportunities to build connections with peers and researchers across Europe.
The project will also examine how international scholarship schemes can be designed and implemented more effectively. Experiences gathered during the initiative will contribute to recommendations at institutional, national and European levels, including discussions around future scholarship opportunities in the next Erasmus+ programme for 2028–34.
