The in-person sessions at Leipzig University during the summer semester 2025/2026 will take place from 20 April to 26 June 2026. Registration is open for both tutors and participants.

Arqus Cafés are informal sessions where students and staff can meet to practise languages with native-level speaking tutors. Offered in both digital and in-person formats, the cafés provide a relaxed environment in which participants can develop their language skills and broaden their cultural understanding, free from the pressures typically associated with teacher-led classroom lessons.

To gain the greatest benefit from the experience, a minimum language level of A2/B1 is recommended so that participants can engage actively in conversation. Where possible, cafés are also organised at different language levels, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn and enjoy the practice. For more information, click here.
