University of Minho to Host Erasmus+ Staff Week on University Innovation Ecosystems

The University of Minho invites Arqus researchers, teaching staff and administrative colleagues to take part in the “University Innovation and Entrepreneurial Ecosystems” Staff Week. The event will be held in Guimarães, Portugal, from 22–26 June 2026. Registration is open until 24 April.
The main aim of this Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Week is to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to understand, develop and implement effective innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems within their universities. Participants will also benefit from shared experiences and perspectives, helping to foster synergies, partnerships and professional networks in this field.
Through a five-day course in the historic city of Guimarães, the programme will combine masterclasses, seminars, site visits and practical training. Using the University of Minho and its partners as case studies, the course will explore the different dimensions of an entrepreneurial hub. Participants will be encouraged to propose and implement improvements at their home institutions through a collaborative approach.
The programme will be delivered by experienced trainers and coaches. Collaborative activities will focus on identifying best practices and developing a strategic plan to support the growth of more innovative and entrepreneurial universities across Europe.
Topics will also include university–industry partnerships, ways of transforming university-based knowledge and technologies into products and services, and developing solutions for communities and businesses. The ideas and contributions generated during the week will be compiled into an e-book to support wider dissemination of the programme and future editions.
The course is open to members of the academic community with an English level of B1 or higher who wish to strengthen their understanding of, and contribution to, effective and collaborative innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems linking universities and industry across countries.
The programme fee is €240 and includes:
