Vilnius University Launches In-Person Arqus Language Cafés

Live Arqus Language Cafés are launching at Vilnius University (VU), inviting students and staff from across the Arqus European University Alliance to practise their foreign language skills in a relaxed and informal setting.

The Language Cafés will give participants an opportunity to meet others learning the same language, develop their speaking skills and gain a deeper understanding of different cultures. Café tutors will help facilitate discussions and other activities during the sessions.

Please note that the Language Cafés are not language courses. They offer an opportunity to practise a language you already know in a small group and build confidence in speaking it. To take an active part in the conversations, participants are recommended to have at least an A2 level in their chosen language. Those who are unsure of their level are also welcome to register and give the sessions a try.

The in-person Arqus Language Cafés will take place at the VU Faculty of Philology. Registered participants will be informed of the exact location of each Language Café before the first session.

The current schedule is as follows: Lithuanian and Turkish Language Cafés will take place on Tuesdays from 17.00 to 18.00, Lithuanian and Polish on Thursdays from 15.00 to 16.00, and Lithuanian on Fridays from 16.00 to 17.00.
