VU Signs Cooperation Agreement with the German-Baltic Future Foundation

On 11 September, Vilnius University (VU) signed a cooperation agreement with the German-Baltic Future Foundation (DBJW). The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and non-governmental organisations and promote joint initiatives in research and other areas.
The agreement, signed by VU Rector Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas and Jost Wiethoelter, Member of the Executive Board of the German-Baltic Future Foundation, will contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists, increase the accessibility of university studies, provide internship opportunities for students, and facilitate the preparation and implementation of various projects.
As partners of the German-Baltic Future Foundation, VU representatives will have opportunities to participate in events organised by the Foundation in Lüneburg, Berlin, and other cities in Germany, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, as well as to continue cooperation in the aforementioned areas.
The German-Baltic Future Foundation actively contributes to VU activities, particularly those related to German studies and the promotion of the German language. In recent years, the Foundation has become an important partner supporting both student initiatives and the academic community.
The agreement will remain in force for five years.
