The scholarships provide €370 per month for Bachelor’s students and €518 per month for Master’s students and students on integrated study programmes.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Sport established the presidential nominal scholarships in 1995. Each year, up to 30 are awarded to the country’s highest-achieving students. Students at all higher education institutions are eligible to apply, whether they hold state-funded or non-state-funded study places. Candidates are nominated by their higher education institutions, and the nominations are assessed by experts from the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.
