RENOVATIO STUDIORUM
On 1 September, we invite all members of the Vilnius University community to come together to welcome the new academic year.
During the traditional RENOVATIO STUDIORUM celebration, we will raise the VU flag, gather at faculty events, and in the afternoon invite staff, students, and alumni to join the procession, followed by a solemn ceremony in the VU’s Grand Courtyard.
RENOVATIO STUDIORUM programme
9:30 – Raising of the VU flag in the Library Courtyard.
10:00–13:00 – Academic year opening events in the faculties.
14:45 – Procession of VU staff, students, and alumni from the Seimas (Parliament) of the Republic of Lithuania to the VU Grand Courtyard (Universiteto g. 3).
15:30–16:30 – Solemn RENOVATIO STUDIORUM academic year opening ceremony in the VU Grand Courtyard.
