“16 Days Against Violence Against Women” Campaign

From November 25 to December 10, the international “16 Days Against Violence Against Women” campaign is observed worldwide. The campaign aims to raise awareness of violence against women and promote equality, respect and safety. To mark this occasion, the university’s Community Wellbeing Division Team together with Women Information Centre (MIC) invites students, staff and other members of the university community to participate in activities that encourage dialogue, empathy and a deeper understanding of violence against women.

Exhibition: “16 Stories Behind 16 Dresses”

From November 25 to December 3, the university community is invited to visit the exhibition “16 Stories Behind 16 Dresses,” featuring the real stories of women who have experienced violence. Each story highlights the realities of violence, its impact on women’s lives, and the importance of creating an environment in which survivors are heard, supported, and understood. The exhibition invites visitors to pause, listen, and reflect on the role each of us can play in building a society free from violence.

We also invite VU students to participate in a Quiz covering women’s rights, LGBTQI+ topics, youth issues, and pop culture.
