Intenational Research Projects

Presenting Works of the Lithuanian Classical Literature Online: Impact of Established Electronic Services on the Access of Works and Level of Reading Engagement.Investigation(no application for financing). Assoc. Prof. R. Varnienė-Janssen. 2015.

The investigation deals with the changes in the accessibility to works of the Lithuanian literature after the implementation of the project “Presenting Works of the Lithuanian Classical Literature Online” by the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania and the impact of established electronic services on the access of works and level of reading engagement. The analysis of Lithuania’s strategic documents and the qualitative investigation proved that the development and use of the e-library and e-services should be grounded on the following principles: complexity, modern approach, differentiation, partnership, and integrity. The new form of the book (e-book) presents a new experience – a qualitatively new and rapidly developing phenomenon.
