Factors influencing customer retention are important in the study of consumer relationship conception since they have implications for organizational business strategy and regulatory policies. Globalization, competition and changes in market cause difficulties for companies to attract and retain customers. So in practice transition from transactional marketing to relationship marketing is increasingly important. One of the main objectives of relationship marketing is customer retention.

There were analysed, how to develop a tool for comparative assessment of electricity market models and evaluate electricity market organization models in various world countries that have liberalized their electricity markets based on sustainability criteria. Environmental Taxes Impact on Sustainable Energy Development. Prof. Dr. D. Štreimikienė, Assoc. Prof. Dr. A. Mikalauskienė.

The research carried out deals with comparative assessment of the impacts of environmental taxes on sustainable development in selected EU member states. Environmental taxes are the main policies to internalize external costs of energy production. The main policies and measures to improve energy efficiency were investigated and compared in Ukraine and EU member states and assessment of implemented policies on sustainability of energy development scenarios was performed.

There were analysed the factors of expatriate international assignment success. The results showed that one of most complex stages of the expatriation process is the adjustment of expatriates during international assignment. It has been proved that the success of the adjustment stage and the entire expatriation process is mostly influenced by the personal strengths of employees, their professional, social, adjustment skills, international experience and a favorable situation of their families.

There were analysed the rapid expansion of the Internet and content products' digital distribution. The number of users copying and distributing these products without the legal consent of their authors is increasing. In order to determine how digital piracy and its management in the music industry are evaluated by the users of music creators, the empirical studies were conducted to summarize the positions and opinions of the persons engaged in the music industry.

Evaluation of Economic Growth in Terms of Sustainability. Assoc. Prof. Dr. A. Mikalauskienė.

There were analysed, how to achieve economic growth taking into account the sustainability of economic, social and environmental spheres. The fast pace of growth in production may lead to the high level of inflation. Damage may be caused by the increased use of natural resources and due to the increased air and water pollution as well as waste generation. The insufficient growth of production may have an influence on the increased unemployment and poverty levels.

Purpose of research is to create fixed income portfolio risk assessment model, which lets to separate portfolio’s credit and market risk components. Risk assessment model consists of combining the VaR methodology, modified duration measure and use of future contracts for portfolio hedging. Fixed income portfolio risk assessment model testing results showed that there were no deviations or they did not exceed 1 percent of the permissible limit for more than one year.

The Problems of Commercial Bank and Central Bank in Central and Eastern Europe. Assoc. Prof. Dr. E. Freitakas.

The investigation sought to identify the main differences between the fifth and the sixth edition of BPM, and to assess the influence of change in methodology of drawing up the balance of payments of the country on the condition of balance of payments of Lithuania and sustainability of its current account. It was determined that the change in methodology influenced the volumes of country balance and its accounts.

The research explores the translation of proper names in fiction and analyses how speech discloses their characteristics in the original work and its translation into Lithuanian. The research also investigated the conceptualization of emotion FEAR (ANGST) in Lithuanian and German lyrics.

The conceptualisation, systematization, terminology of audiovisual translation and case studies of various translations were explored. Translations of film subtitles and voice-over were investigated. The research also analysed audio description as a relative new field of AVT. Deictic reference as a tool for constructing character’s image in dubbed animation was examined. The research carried out the cognitive analysis of physiological and emotional concepts.

We suggested modification of classical analytical hierarchical process (AHP) model and explored its performance. The modification includes a method for defining probability values corresponding to each possible alternative outcome by using hierarchical structure of variables acquiring linguistic values.

The scientific research was concentrated on quantitative analysis and simulation of factors influencing spreading business information over web. The model was designed and experimentally tested by applying principles of fuzzy cognitive mapping, which enables finding strength of interrelationships among the design widgets and dynamically modelling their weights, and defining efficiency in the deffuzification stage. The model revealed the analytical power of the conceptual approach.

A method was proposed to combine the results produced by several speech recognizers using statistical classification methods and automatic rule generation methods. Each of the adapted foreign language recognizers produces own hypothesis when recognizing Lithuanian voice command. The experimental evaluation showed that such approach allows the improvement of recognition accuracy by 78 %.

Sociolinguistic and Cognitive Research on Lithuanian Language.  Assoc. Prof. Dr. D. Aliūkaitė.

Scientific attempts were made at constructing the identity and the variability of the Lithuanian language at the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, linguistic and extra linguistic characteristics of the written and spoken texts and other communication systems by applying the analytical principles from the fields of sociolinguistics, perceptual dialectology, geolinguistics, cognitive linguistics, stylistics, rhetoric and semantics.

Analysis how to achieve economic growth taking into account the creative economics of a city was performed comparing the main cities of Lithuania. The research showed that Kaunas was more technological innovative creative city than other cities.

A method was proposed to combine the results produced by several speech recognizers using statistical classification methods and automatic rule generation methods. The efficiency of the proposed methods was verified experimentally. Prototype automatic recognizer to distinguish between two dialects of the Lithuanian language was developed.

The manipulation techniques in political discourse and national behaviour were analyzed. The analysis of the Russian epos assumes that the analysis of the folklore stories might allow defining the archetypes, which in a certain manner affect the contemporary political thought in Russia. The way in which the national cultural archetypes relate to the common cultural ones (Greek myths), and contain their specific national modification.
