Gnesia Gecovaitė (1922–?) was born in Vilnius. In 1940, she graduated from Dr Kovarskis’ Private Gymnasium in Vilnius. That same year, she applied to the Philosophy Department of the Faculty of Humanities at Vilnius University and was admitted. On 9 May 1941, Gecovaitė submitted a request for her birth certificate documents, stating that she needed them to obtain a Young Communist League membership card from the city’s Komsomol Committee. On 19 September 1941, she was expelled from the university by the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialists. On 18 January 1945, Gecovaitė submitted requests (her place of residence at the time was Pravdinsk, Kaliningrad) to retrieve her birth certificate and school diploma, which were duly issued to her. No further information on the fate of Gecovaitė is known.
