Aronas Leiba Šatchanovičius (1914–?) was born in Pilviškiai village, Vilkaviškis District. In 1932, he graduated from the private Virbalis Jewish Gymnasium. That same year, he enrolled in the Biology Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Vytautas Magnus University, later transferring to the Chemistry Department. According to the student’s personal certificate, Šatchanovičius studied from 1934 to 1940. No further information is available regarding his studies in Kaunas. His registration records indicate that in 1940, Šatchanovičius continued his studies at the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Vilnius University. On 19 September 1941, he was expelled from the university by the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialists. No further information on the fate of Šatchanovičius is known.
