Leonid Łam (Leonidas Lamas) (1917–?) was born in Petrograd (Saint Petersburg). In 1935, he graduated from the State Juliusz Słowacki Gymnasium in Vilnius. In his application to Vilnius University, he indicated that he had studied in the Faculty of Medicine at Stephen Báthory University; however, he did not indicate the dates or reason for discontinuing his studies. In 1940, Łam applied to the Faculty of Medicine at Vytautas Magnus University but was not accepted. That same year, he enrolled in the Medicine Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Vilnius University. On 19 September 1941, he was expelled from the university by the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialists. No further information on the fate of Łam is known.
