Erasmus+ Training Mobility

Erasmus+ Training Mobility

Erasmus+ Training Mobility enables Vilnius University academic and non-academic staff to develop their professional and personal competences through training activities abroad.

Training Visits at Higher Education Institutions

Key requirements

Who can participate?

All Vilnius University staff members – academic and non-academic staff, including researchers – can participate in Erasmus+ training visits.

Where can I go?

Training visits can take place at a foreign higher education institution holding an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education.

Who is given priority?

Priority is given to non-academic staff. Academic staff may be selected if there are no non-academic staff members applying for training visits at higher education institutions.

How do I find a host institution?

You can find a host institution independently or search for organised Staff Training Weeks on the Staff Mobility platform. Staff members are responsible for arranging the training programme and other details of the visit directly with the host institution.

What is the duration of an Erasmus+ training visit?

Under Erasmus+ Programme rules, training mobility may last from 2 days to 2 months, excluding travel time.

  • At Vilnius University, individual training visits are funded for 2–3 days, while organised training programmes may last 2–5 days.
  • For mobility to non-associated third countries, the duration may be 5–10 days.
