Procedure for accumulating and recognizing credits for transferable skills trainings
In your individual doctoral study plan, specify the number of credits you intend to earn for transferable skills trainings. The recommended amount of credits is 3–5 ECTS.
Participate in selected transferable skills trainings and obtain documents confirming your participation.
Submit the following to the unit administrator and/or the chair of the doctoral committee:
- a list of the trainings you attended;
- documents (certificates, letters, etc.) confirming your participation.
A request for the recognition of credits for transferable skills trainings is considered by the doctoral committee.
NB: The procedure and scope for recognizing credits for transferable skills trainings may vary depending on the requirements established by the doctoral committee.
Credits approved by the doctoral committee are recorded in the database administered by the Doctoral and Postdoctoral Studies Department. To find out how many credits you have earned, please contact drs@cr.vu.lt.
Procedure for issuing certificates for participation in transferable skills trainings organized by VU
- Certificates for participation in transferable skills trainings organized by VU are issued at the end of the academic year (following the autumn and spring semesters).
- A single certificate lists all trainings attended during the preceding academic year.
- The certificates are issued electronically, signed, and registered in the "Avilys" document management system. Once registered, the certificates are sent to doctoral students via email.
NB: If you wish to receive the certificate earlier, please contact gabija.strumylaite@cr.vu.lt.
