Text and Context Interaction. Prof. Dr. A. Krasnovas, Prof. Dr. J. Krūminienė, Prof. Dr. G. Bankauskaitė-Sereikienė.

The research carried out under this project deals with the poetics and rhetoric of fiction and public discourse. Special attention was devoted to the exploration of literary wit in dramatic verbal contests of the 17th century English drama. Ricoeurian hermeneutics was applied for the analysis of the problem of evil in the 20th century literature. The exploration of the emotional decoding process in the context of language specificity and gender was carried out.

The area of exploring artificial intelligence methods and their advanced extensions in the domains of financial market customer analytics was analyzed. The main focus particularly lies on larger datasets, with emphasis on their unbalanced nature, this often the case of real world data. It was proposed to use a hybrid approach, based on linear SVM and particle swarm optimization, to select a linear classifier together with its parameters.

Research involves application of enterprise management knowledge models to enterprise architecture frameworks modification and to enhancement of e-learning systems towards knowledge-based systems. UML diagrams generation process from enterprise model in IS development process by using knowledge-based subsystem is analyzed. The usage of knowledge-based subsystem, as an additional computer aided software engineering (CASE) tool component is proposed.
