Ethical Conduct in the Academic Community

The academic community of Vilnius University is founded on respect for human dignity, honesty, impartiality, equality, non-discrimination, collegiality, openness and mutual trust. Ethical conduct means respecting other people, their rights, personal boundaries and opinions, exercising academic freedom responsibly, and engaging in open and respectful dialogue. VU does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, violence, intimidation, humiliation or other conduct that violates human dignity, nor abuse arising from academic status, position or other power imbalances. We all contribute to creating an ethical, safe and inclusive University environment through our everyday communication, decisions and responses to inappropriate conduct.
