The NATO internship programme
The NATO internship programme offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to undertake internships within NATO departments, gain practical experience, learn about the work of an international organisation, and develop competencies essential for their future careers. Selection for internships takes place annually.

The Baltic-American Freedom Foundation
The Baltic-American Freedom Foundation’s professional internship programme offers outstanding opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a wide range of US companies, corporations, and organisations. Lasting from 8 to 11 months, the programme provides full scholarships that cover accommodation, insurance, food, and transportation throughout the internship. It is an excellent chance to develop professional skills, expand your network of contacts, and become acquainted with US culture and lifestyle.
The Experience Partners Initiative
The Experience Partners Initiative was launched in November 2013, when the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK), Vilnius University (VU), Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU), Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Klaipėda University (KU), and Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) agreed to combine their expertise, experience, and resources to jointly develop the Partners 4 Value initiative, designed to promote high‑quality international and domestic student internships.
Vulcanus in Japan
The international internship programme Vulcanus in Japan was launched in 1997 as part of efforts to strengthen trade relations between Europe and Japan, and is coordinated by the EU‑Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation in partnership with the European Commission and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The programme aims to enable final‑year Bachelor’s and Master’s students in STEM fields from EU universities to become acquainted with advanced technologies used in leading Japanese companies, learn the Japanese language, experience the country’s culture, and gain valuable international professional experience within Japan’s industrial sector.
EU Joint Research Centre scientific internship
The EU Joint Research Centre (JRC), the European Commission’s science and knowledge service, offers a five‑month paid scientific internship for recent graduates in research or scientific fields. The programme provides the opportunity to gain practical research experience by contributing to projects that support EU policies in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment. Applications are open to citizens of EU Member States and countries associated with EU research programmes who have a scientific or technical background and are proficient in at least two official EU languages, one of which must be English. Internships take place in various EU countries, with sessions held twice a year, in March and October.
