Incentive scholarship
The incentive scholarship is awarded to Vilnius University students for high academic performance. Its purpose is to encourage student progress, motivate them to achieve better results, and actively participate in the activities of the university community. The scholarship is paid from the state budget and is one of the ways to recognize students' efforts and achievements.
Intended for students who:
Studying in first-cycle, second-cycle, integrated, or professional pedagogy study programs.
No academic debts
Achieved a high semester grade point average
Registered for courses on time and took all exams
Scholarship amount and payment procedure
Amount: The incentive scholarship is a one-time payment equal to 11 basic social benefits (BSI).
(The amount of BSI is determined by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, therefore the final amount depends on the BSI amount in effect at the time.
Payment:
- Awarded twice a year, after the semester progress rankings have been determined.
- Distribution based on progress data is carried out by the core academic department, and scholarships are awarded by order of the head of the department.
- The results are published in the VU information system (VU IS).
Selection periods:
- Fall semester selection: September 1–15.
- Spring semester selection: February 1–15.
Scholarship award process
This scholarship is awarded automatically, no application is required. If you receive this scholarship, you will be informed personally. The size of the scholarship is 11 basic social benefits (BSB). Currently, 1 BSB is 70 EUR.
