Turning Curiosity Into Research

Mariam Kasradze

Program graduate, VU KnF doctoral student from Sakartvelo, Marketing Project Manager „Go Vilnius“

I was looking for a specific Master’s degree program that would be interesting for me, and I found the International Business Management Master's studies at the Kaunas Faculty. During the studies, I started going into the details of the main research topic that I am still working on now, and I find it quite exciting.

A Community That Cares

Dennis Osah

CC Specialist II at Cencora | Pharma solutions.

I totally enjoyed the programme, and my studies opened doors for me in both my academic and personal life. Firstly, the flexibility and diversity of the curriculum are huge advantages. It’s ideal if you are interested in many aspects of international business. The programme offers a global perspective on business management, providing students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of the international business environment. Secondly, the lecturers are all fully qualified, and each one has a unique way of imparting knowledge to the students. We had many interactive classes, which included seminars, group tasks, and even debates among the students; it was delightful. Thirdly, I had the opportunity to network not only with my fellow students but also with various individuals through my participation in the annual Prof Vladas Gronskas International Scientific Conference, as well as outside the classroom.

VU will always be my university, and I can only wish for other students to join us and experience something truly unique.

How strongly are sustainability and social responsibility emphasised during the studies?

The principles of sustainability and social responsibility are integral to business management, demonstrating companies' modern approach to internal and external business processes. In this study programme, the concept of sustainable development is explored and analysed through separate subjects and specific topics in various modules.

What foreign language skills will I be able to improve or acquire during my studies?

The studies are conducted in English. The language skills are thus strengthened through communication with students from different countries and lecturers, teamwork, presentations, discussions, participation in scientific conferences, and presenting insights from one's Master's thesis.

Will students be taught how to use analytical international business tools and financial instruments during their studies?

During the studies, certain subjects cover business analytics tools and financial instruments. This enables the prediction of changes, trends, and opportunities in the business environment, allowing companies to make informed strategic management decisions.
