Reacting to the situation surrounding COVID-19, it is natural that feelings of fear and anxiety might arise. We want to remind you that you can still get psychological help during the quarantine period. If you are experiencing any unpleasant feelings and want to talk to someone, you can get help at Vilnius University Counselling and Education Centre’s psychologists offer counselling sessions online via a platform of your choice (i.e. Skype, Viber, WhatsApp, Google Hangouts, MS Teams, etc.).

A psychological crisis is defined as an unexpected and/or severe change in life followed by great anxiety, tension, threat, insecurity, danger, feelings of confusion and other similar experiences.

Any member of Vilnius university community can receive up to 3 emergency counseling sessions for free. Crisis counseling available when you are:

  • having thoughts of suicide;
  • experiencing feelings of fear, anxiety, hopelessness because of the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • experiencing a shocking life event: loss, divorce or other sudden life changes;
  • worrying about a friend who is going through a crisis and may have thoughts of suicide.
