COVID-19: Information for Students and Employees

 

In view of the threat of the spread of COVID-19 infection, the decisions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania to declare quarantine and to protect the health of our community members, the coronavirus prevention team decided that all activities at the university by 31 May should be continued remotely.

 

In case you have been in contact with an infected person and you show symptoms of the disease (e.g. fever, cough, difficulty breathing), as well as in case you need a consultation regarding any questions you might have, you can contact the coronavirus hotline free of charge all over Lithuania 24 hours a day:

Please, follow these instructions:

  • Wash your hands frequently

Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.

  • Maintain social distancing

Maintain at least a 2 metre distance between yourself and anyone else.

  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth

Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.

  • Practice respiratory hygiene

Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
