The study programme is designed to educate highly qualified music pedagogues holding the system of professional (musical, educational) and interdisciplinary knowledge, perceiving the process of modern educational change, who can efficiently organise, coordinate and improve the processes of music education at various levels and in various sectors of the education system, to effectively develop artistic self-expression of pupils, to participate in the implementation of the national policy of education and culture.

Why this programme?

  • The programme is the only one in the region of North Lithuania and is important in meeting the needs of music (both formal and non-formal) (self-) education
  • The programme is supplemented with Sound Directing and Management of Events specialisations, which is an essential unique feature that distinguishes the programme from other ones.
  • The obtained specialisations will help future music pedagogues successfully integrate into the labour market, creatively apply gained abilities.

What's after?

  • Having completed the programme's specialisation Sound Directing, graduates will have the competence to work as sound directors. They will gain practical skills to work in a sound recording studio, will learn to control equipment for sound recording, will be able to create phonograms, will master the principles of creation of electronic music and will be able to use recent technologies for sound recording.
  • Having completed the programme's specialisation Management of Events, graduates will be able to work as organisers and managers of non-formal education, organisers of public events and entertainment, leaders of cultural and educational projects.
  • The graduates will have the possibility to enter second cycle studies.
